Hello! My name is Amy Becerra and I am currently a first year student at CSULB. I just recently graduated from St. Pius X St. Matthias Academy in Downey, California this past May. I am currently a computer science student. I have no idea what I want specifically with my career, however, I have a broad variety of possibilities such as virtual reality, video games, robotics, and artificial intelligence.
More about me…
I like to think I have a broad music taste. I primarily listen to rock and variations of it (post hardcore, metalcore, punk, metal, etc) but I also listen to electronic, indie, and a teeny bit of pop. My favorite bands/artists change frequently, however, right now my favorite artists include In This Moment, Beartooth, The Ghost Inside, Daft Punk, Circa Survive, The Frights, and Marina and the Diamonds. Music is a big part of my life. I listen to it on a daily basis and go to concerts whenever I get the chance. I’ve been going to concerts since I was 11 and have seen a lot of artists such as My Chemical Romance, Blink 182, Slipknot, Cannibal Corpse, Atreyu, Sleeping with Sirens, Pierce the Veil, We the Kings, Memphis May Fire, Beartooth, and so so much more.
Besides music, I have also had a strong love for cats since I was in kindergarten. A big part of me is Louie, my cat of roughly 13 years. Everyone who knows me, knows Louie. We’ve been inseparable best friends since he was added to the family 13 years ago. Whenever I’m home, he is always by my side. Whenever I walk to another room or go downstairs to get a snack, he follows close behind. He is a very calm cat is friendly to anyone who wants to pet him, as long as they don’t overwhelm him. I like to think we grew up together and always refer to him as my best friend. Other than Louie, I also have two other cats, Luna and Bubz, who were also rescued from the street. Unlike Louie, they are outdoor cats and hang out daily in the backyard. Yeah, I love cats, that’s about it.
